Women entrepreneurs face greater challenges when moving their business from start-up to scale up. This may be because women may prefer to structure their businesses in a more sustainable way, and this might not be as attractive for venture capitalists. However, by investing in more sustainable businesses, research shows there can be greater returns on overall portfolios in the long term.
