Aligning the Organization: Management and Human Resource concerns is the third report in The Conference Board® series Thinking Offshoring Through: A Framework for Decision Makers. Once an offshoring operation is up and running, executives face a number of unique leadership and management issues. This report explores many of the components of offshoring leadership, including how best to manage employees affected by offshoring in the home country, establishing a coherent management structure, and developing the offshoring leaders of the future.

The first three reports in the Thinking Offshoring Through series provide executives with an informed context for determining whether offshoring is appropriate for their organization, offering them ideas for setting up and managing ongoing operations. The Conference Board is also publishing a fourth report—Offshoring in Perspective: Trends, Impacts, and Implications—that will offer broader perspectives on macroeconomic issues, misconceptions, analytical problems, and political and policy implications.
