Economy Watch: European View—December 2022

Business and consumer confidence improved marginally in November and December but remain overall at depressed levels. This strengthens our view that following the Q3 slowdown, the Euro Area economy is likely to enter a relatively short and shallow recession from Q4 of 2022 onwards.
