Document Highlights

Major forces are the trends that shape our world. They push our societies, businesses, and governments to recalibrate their decisions and pursue the opportunities they provide. As a major force, automation requires organizations to reshape themselves to enter into the future of work.

Surveying Automation Trends in Canada: Major Forces 2022 analyzes the potential impacts of automation on Canadian businesses. We surveyed 192 Canadian information technology leaders across three themes of automation: trends in deployment, barriers to adoption, and investment opportunities. The goal is to provide enterprises of all sizes with essential information regarding market and technology trends as well as peer perspectives. Similarly, we aim to equip policy-makers with information to help identify barriers to automation and regulatory areas that could benefit from change or enhancement. Understanding the current automation landscape will help leaders navigate the required decision-making in this space, see where opportunities lie, and mitigate potential negative impacts.
