Compensation Planning Outlook is an annual survey conducted by The Conference Board of Canada on compensation and human resources practices in Canada. In June2014, a questionnaire was sent to 1,878 predominantly large and medium-sized Canadian organizations operating in a variety of regions and sectors. A total of 382 respondents across Canada participated in the survey, including 172 from Ontario. According to the survey, the average pay increase for non-unionized employees in Ontario is forecast to be 2.5 per cent in 2015—0.5 percentage points more than the expected rate of inflation.

Ontario’s economy is showing much-needed improvement, and the economic outlook for 2015 is positive. The 2015 projected average salary increase for non-unionized employees is 2.5 per cent.
