Compensation Planning Outlook is an annual survey conducted by The Conference Board of Canada on compensation and human resources practices in Canada. In June 2014, a questionnaire was sent to 1,878 predominantly large and medium-sized Canadian organizations operating in a variety of regions and sectors. A total of 382 respondents across Canada participated in the survey, including 81 from Alberta. According to the survey, the average pay increase for non-unionized employees in Alberta is forecast to be 3.5 per cent in 2015—continuing to outpace the projected national average of 2.9 per cent. Alberta’s economic growth prospects remain very positive.
