Michal Juul Sørensen is vice president and general manager of Lundbeck Canada. He
oversees the strategic direction of the country’s operations as an affiliate of H. Lundbeck
A/S, a global pharmaceutical company specializing in brain diseases. During his tenure with
Lundbeck, he has held a variety of leadership positions and played a pivotal role in growing
the business.

Michal began his career in 2004 at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in the UK, as a Medical Sales
Representative in Central London. In 2007, Michal joined Lundbeck as a member of the
Global Marketing Team, during which time he led global marketing teams to
commercialize product launches and develop brand strategies.

Before leading Lundbeck’s Canadian business, he served as managing director for
Lundbeck Australia and New Zealand for four years, where he directed the company to its highest sales and profit in its 20-
year history and led the company to become a National Best Places to Work.

A native of Denmark, Sørensen holds a BSc in microbiology and an MSc in molecular virology from Imperial College of
London, as well as a professional diploma in marketing from the Charted Institute of Marketing in London. He was voted
a top 100 talent in Denmark by Berlingske Business Magasin (2012) and a top 50 talent by Jyllands-Posten (2014).
