- Canadian Housing Market—After a minor slowdown in 2011, Canada’s housing market is expected to remain healthy over the next two years thanks to low mortgage rates and healthy employment growth.
- U.S. Housing Market—The U.S. housing market index reached its highest level in more than 18 months recently, and housing starts have been increasing significantly on a year-over-year basis since June.
- Exports to China—Through the first three quarters of 2011, Canadian wood exports to China were double what they were in the same period last year and had already surpassed their 2010 total.
