- External Environment—Economic growth outside of the U.S. is projected to remain weak over the next two years, putting downward pressure on export demand for the aerospace industry.
- CSeries Program—After several years of delays, the CS100 has logged more than half of the required test flight hours and should receive certification this year. Certification on the CS300 should come six months later and help to shore up customer demand.
- Order Backlog—Although demand is expected to be weaker in the near term, record levels of unfilled orders suggest that the industry will be able to sustain production until the global economy stabilizes.
