Director, Economic Forecasting
Ted Mallett is the Director of Economic Forecasting at The Conference Board of Canada. In this role, Ted provides strategic direction and manages day-to-day operations by planning and producing regular forecast publications at the national, provincial, metro, and industry levels. Ted identifies, anticipates, and articulates emerging economic trends and challenges that leaders will face.
Ted brings more than three decades of broad experience in economic policy analysis and forecasting as a nationally recognised Economist. He provides innovative, one-of-a-kind insights into areas that are frequently not covered by traditional data sources, using creative new approaches to analysis and uncovering additional layers of knowledge about how the economy works. Ted is a frequent media contributor and member of several senior government advisory bodies.
