- The short-term weakness continues to be concentrated in the eastern part of the country.
- The CMAs with the largest monthly declines in housing starts in December were Victoria, Kitchener–Waterloo, Abbotsford, Thunder Bay, and Vancouver.
- Still, housing starts are more than double their year-earlier levels in 5 of our 27 markets.
