Hi. I feel not enough attention has been paid to the craft beer industry as it is the largest growing segment. While the larger domestic brewers are bleeding market share, craft beer is increasing. |

Not a lot of analysis/synthesis. In particular, no citation or further explanation is given for the "demographic changes" cited as being a driver of declining beer consumption; this assertion was the only reason I downloaded the document to begin with. |

Some detail and analysis left to be desired. |

I liked the simplicity of the report. However, as other users pointed out, it would be great to get some growth stats on the craft/domestic/imports. |

Agree with other reviewers, this is only big beer. |

A good, succinct report. Quite readable. I don't see the criticism that it is an ad for larger brewers (Labatt, Molson). It is meant to be a report about the beer brewing industry in Canada as whole; and that is exactly what it is. I also don't see the criticism that it should include analysis of costs related to domestic violence, hospitalization, etc. Those who wish to criticize the brewing industry on such grounds - go ahead, more power to you. Examination of various social issues, however, is not within the ambit of this report, nor should it be. |

Looking at trends in the beer industry and not mentioning the growth of craft beer in the past years is surprising. Consumers are purchasing craft beer at small-scale local breweries and bigger players are purchasing some of those enterprises. |

It would have been useful to investigate the share and economic impact of the craft and micro breweries in this report. It felt like an ad for the big beer companies instead. Not to the level of what I'm used to seeing from the CBoC. |

Funded by Beer Canada. This is nothing but a paid advertisement. Conference Board of Canada should be embarrassed to be used in this way. If you're going to investigate the economic benefits of some industry, should you not also consider the resultant costs? Increased cancer rates, domestic violence, hospitalization, auto accidents would all be a place to start. |
