The Canadian economy is in its worst downturn in decades. Life across the country is at a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic and measures to control it. While the impacts are being felt everywhere, some cities are being hit harder than others.
The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine will help lift Saskatoon’s overall real GDP by 6.0 per cent in 2021, although the city’s key primary and utilities sector will not recover to its pre-pandemic levels this year.
