The composite leading index of the Canadian economy sums up the performance of 10 components that track the short-term course of the economy.

The Conference Board of Canada’s Composite Leading Index rose 0.7 points to 113.0 (2010 = 100) in June. The rise in the index is in line with the strong performance of the Canadian economy and suggests that the economy will remain strong for the rest of the year.
