Composite Leading Index for Canada: December 2013
The Conference Board of Canada
The composite leading index of the Canadian economy sums up the performance of 10 components that track the short-term course of the economy.
The Conference Board of Canada’s leading indicator rose 0.3 points in December, matching its gains in October and November. Four of the ten components expanded, while six declined. The modest gains and the fact that growth varied widely among the index components suggest that the economy has not yet begun to feel the benefits of strengthening U.S. demand.
