Border security is getting tighter. Canadian and American air travellers now need a passport to enter the U.S. The U.S.’s Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative will soon mandate biometric identification of people crossing the border by land. The Secure Border Initiative proposes electronic ‘fences’ on the U.S. frontiers with Mexico and Canada.
