Leslie Twilley is the Chief Research Officer at The Conference Board of Canada. In this role, she oversees research quality across the Board’s nine knowledge areas and works with fellow Executive Team members to define and advance the organization’s research agenda.

Past Work Experience

Prior to joining The Conference Board, Leslie spent five years with the Government of Alberta. She served as Director of Research at Alberta Education, where she developed and implemented the Ministry’s research agenda. She also held the role of Executive Director at Alberta Indigenous Relations, overseeing strategic engagement, policy innovation, and knowledge management. Earlier in her career, Leslie held positions in both the private and non-profit sectors.

A consistent focus throughout her career has been providing meaningful and relevant evidence to support policy development.
