HR Metrics Quarterly: Q1 2024

This research provides benchmark data for key areas in Human Resources (HR) that will allow organizations to compare their own position with other employers in their sector or industry. Between May and June of 2024, an HR Metrics Benchmarking survey was sent to Canadian HR professionals working in a variety of regions, sectors, and industries. In total, 194 organizations responded.

As one of The Conference Board of Canada’s flagship reports, HR Metrics Benchmarking has been produced regularly since 2006. In 2023, the Conference Board decided it was time to refresh the HR Metrics Benchmarking survey and its related outputs. The survey, previously conducted annually or biennially, is now conducted quarterly to ensure consistent gathering and reporting of fresh and timely HR benchmarking data.

A total of 182 organizations participated in the survey. This briefing summarizes organizational data for unionized and non-unionized employees for the second quarter of 2023 (April to June) on four recurring topics of interest.
