Senior Research Associate, Innovation & Technology

Graham Dobbs is a Senior Research Associate of Innovation and Technology for The Conference Board of Canada. In this role, Graham investigates the role of innovation in Canada at the intersection of public policy, the economy, and society. Graham leads research projects, manages councils, and has an active role in news and media engagements.
Graham previously spent time at the Labour Market Information Council and the Dais at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly the Brookfield Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship) as a Senior Economist with a primary focus on labour, education, and innovation economics. His previous works investigated Canada’s AI compute infrastructure, AI’s influence on skill demand, and the causal productivity impacts of AI adoption among Canadian firms. Graham makes regular contributions to The Globe and Mail, The Financial Post, and The Toronto Star, and has been featured on the OECD’s AI Observatory.
