With a wise and collaborative leadership style, Steve has supervised and mentored clinicians and clinical teams for most of his career. His steadfast commitment to Recovery Oriented Systems of Care demonstrates his dedication to healing individuals, families and workplaces from the negative effects of addiction.

Steve’s impact on the families, organizations, and individuals he has helped can’t be overstated. He is a true visionary, champion and change-maker who has saved countless lives and altered the trajectory for multiple generations of recovering individuals and their families.

This profession is a true calling for Steve and he is highly regarded by all who know him. He brings humility, wisdom and humor to all his work. An eager student, he has been a lifelong learner, who has accessed incredible teachers and mentors. In turn he has been a guide, teacher and mentor to others.

Because of his gift of creating rapport, thousands of courageous souls have graced him with an invitation into their worlds at the most difficult time of their lives. He truly considers it an honor to be able to walk alongside them as they move from addiction to recovery.

Steve is committed to developing recovery capital; the assets available to individuals, families and workplaces to build sustainable recovery on. Facilitating the development of resources in individuals, communities, workplaces and families has been one of the major themes throughout his career.

In his current role as President of Aurora Recovery Centre, Steve has been given the opportunity to create an integrative system of recovery that is the culmination of his years of mastery in this field.
