Shaloma has held several management roles with the Ontario Public Service (OPS) and has vast experience in the realm of immigration pathways to Ontario. As the Manager of the Immigration Promotion and Employer Outreach Unit with the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Shaloma and her team provide tailored services to help employers find talent solutions and navigate the complex federal and provincial immigration systems to fill labour shortages, retain international students, and attract skilled workers faster.

Before joining the OPS, Shaloma completed her PhD in International History and Politics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. During her studies, she conducted multi-disciplinary research in English and French at numerous international organizations, such as the International Labour Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations Organization.
