Dr. Aali Alizadeh is the CTO of Giatec and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa. He has over 15 years of experience in the research and development of technologies related to concrete materials. He co-founded Giatec with Dr. Pouria Ghods in 2010 with the vision to revolutionize the concrete industry. With exports to more than 85 countries and its sensors used in over 10,000 construction projects, Giatec is a fast-growing Canadian tech company and a world leader in concrete IoT and AI solutions. Dr. Alizadeh serves on various technical committees at ACI, ASTM and CSA organizations, and has published over 100 papers and patents. His work has been recognized by several awards including the Governor General’s Academic Gold Medal, University of Ottawa’s Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year, Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 award, City of Ottawa’s Immigrant Entrepreneur Award, and the Report on Business Magazine’s 50 Changemakers.
