Brady Schnell is the Economic Development Officer and administrator of the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot in the Town of Claresholm. With a combined 12-years post-secondary and municipal government experience, immigration has been a relatively new journey. Having been born and raised in Southern Alberta and Alumni of the University of Lethbridge, Claresholm has always been close to home for Brady. Over the past 3-years, the integration of community volunteers and local government with a federal immigration pilot has been a great pleasure, and a unique challenge. Municipally lead immigration is a new passion, and facilitating economic growth with a warm community hug is the goal. The recent experience and success in Claresholm, offers valuable lessons to communities across Canada.
