  • This year, overnight travel to Vancouver is projected to increase 4.1 per cent, thanks to strong growth in convention-related travel, as well as travel from international markets, particularly overseas markets.

  • Overnight visits to Montréal will get a boost next year from the city s co-hosting of the FIFA Women s World Cup and World Junior Hockey Championship tournaments.
  • Tourism activity in Winnipeg is projected to ramp up with the recent opening of the Museum of Human Rights, co-hosting the FIFA Women s World Cup in 2105, and hosting the Canada Games in 2017.
  • In 2017, overnight visits to Ottawa should see strong growth, thanks to solid growth in convention-related activity and the hosting of events related to the 150th anniversary of Confederation.
