About
Silvester Komlodi is the Deputy Minister of Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care, and was the Deputy Minister of Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs, for the Government of Manitoba. With extensive experience across government sectors, Silvester previously served as the Associate Deputy Minister of Health and held senior leadership roles in fiscal management and capital planning within the Treasury Board Secretariat and other roles in the Finance department. Silvester’s career spans various management and analytical roles in the federal and provincial public service and Crown utility levels, focusing on immigration policy, energy policy, and federal-provincial and international relations.
He has been on numerous boards in the government financial sector and currently on several health care sector boards. Silvester has also served on the boards of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, TD Bank’s Friends of the Environment Foundation, and the PlugIn Institute of Contemporary Art in Winnipeg.
Additionally, he volunteers and has served as the Prairies Committee Chair for the McCall MacBain Scholars at McGill University. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, a Public Leadership Credential from the Kennedy School at Harvard University, and earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto.
