About

Michael Basset is the Director Research Impact at The Conference Board of Canada. In this role, Michael works directly with researchers and economists to ensure that our research findings are having an impact. He is also the host of our Bright Future, Leadership Perspectives and Economics Matters podcast series. In over 10 years at CBoC, Michael has contributed to numerous custom and public research projects in the areas of governance, ethics, risk management, family enterprise and Crown corporations.

Past Work Experience

Prior to joining The Conference Board of Canada, Michael worked at the Ottawa-based Institute on Governance in the international development sector, for the BC government and at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C.
