Liz Horvath brings over 20 years of experience guiding organizations to achieve better business outcomes through strategic integration of health, safety and wellbeing. She joined the Opening Minds Team of the Mental Health Commission of Canada in August 2019, where she leads the development and implementation of workplace mental health strategies that align with the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, and other programs and modules that encourage mental wellness and safety.
Prior to joining MHCC, Liz was instrumental in the creation of the National Standard through her role as Project Manager with the CSA Group. She then worked on helping organizations implement mental health and wellbeing strategies through her company, Hale Health and Safety Solutions, which continues to focus on helping people thrive by reducing the risk of stress-related injury and disease. She is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and is a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE), the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment (IAWBH), the Crisis and Trauma Research Institute (CRTI), and the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA).
