The Virtual Regional Sounding Tour is back! For this second round of local conversations, join us from the comfort of your home, office, or home office. We’ll discuss how the country has been impacted by COVID-19, what this means for the future of work, the impacts on the labour force market in your province, and what the path to recovery will be.

Join us

This virtual event will start with a brief introduction to the Future Skills Centre’s (FSC) mandate, objectives, findings from last year’s Regional Sounding Tour, and current activities the FSC is undertaking. We’ll then break out into smaller conversations to learn more about the challenges and possibilities of supporting workforce opportunities for individual communities and industries in the province of Manitoba. Your contribution to the discussion will help inform the Future Skills Centre’s research and innovation investment strategies for the coming year.

This event has a limited capacity. Register now to secure your spot and ensure your voice is heard.

Panel discussion: Impact of COVID-19 on skills and the labour market
Hear from our presenting partners how COVID-19 is affecting local labour market challenges, skill requirements, and other measures since the onset of the pandemic.
Sessions (60 minutes)
Join our sessions to share and discuss the impacts of COVID-19 in the current labour market and how we respond to these challenges.

Please note: These sessions will be recorded to ensure all information shared is captured. A final report from all the Virtual Regional Sounding Tour dates will be written and shared with participants in May 2021.

The aim of the Future Skills Centre is to test and rigorously measure new approaches to identifying emerging in-demand skills, and help Canadians develop the skills they need to take full advantage of and succeed in the new economy. We want to hear your perspective on how the Future Skills Centre can best meet the diverse skills needs of people living in Manitoba. Your contributions are important.
