Max Monahan-Ellison is a dedicated advocate in the medical cannabis community. He donates his time as Vice President of leading patient advocacy group, Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana (CFAMM) and is a member of the Common Initiative, a group urging for the availability of medical cannabis in the pharmacy. At CFAMM, Max is responsible for spearheading the strategy and development of programs and campaigns that aim to shed light on the challenges facing the medical cannabis community and improve patient access to support and treatment.
He works as a Consultant in the Health & Wellness practice of an integrated marketing and communications agency and has diverse experience in the healthcare sector. Starting his career working on clinical trial enrollment strategy in biotech, Max pivoted to communications and advocacy work across the sector, working on health insurance, rare diseases, oncology, public health and cannabis.
