Accessing services in rural areas in Nova Scotia is a challenge. I just finished up a career development portfolio program in a local town, and three out of the seven had no internet because they couldn’t get it. They couldn’t afford to go to job fairs because of the transportation issues. And working in their community wasn’t an option because there’s no employment there.
