About
Moein Amini is a Senior Economist in the Economic Research team at The Conference Board of Canada. In this role, Moein conducts applied economic research, specializing in both Labour Market Information (LMI) analysis and macroeconomic forecasting. His work includes identifying skill shortages, projecting occupational demand, and evaluating workforce trends using customized models and large datasets. Moein also contributes to economic forecasting and scenario development at both the national and provincial levels, providing insights into short-term dynamics and long-term economic trajectories across Canada and its provinces.
Past Work Experience
Prior to CBoC, Moein completed two co-op terms as an Economic Analyst at the British Columbia Ministry of Forests. In this role, Moein focused on analyzing the BC lumber market, producing forecasts on market trends and developing export price projections for BC lumber. His work supported stakeholders in anticipating market developments and making informed decisions. Following his graduation, Moein joined the Conference Board, where he continues to build on this foundation in applied economic research.
