Associate Director, Economic Research

About

In his role as Associate Director of the Canadian Tourism Research Institute (CTRI), Greg is responsible for The Conference Board of Canada’s travel forecasts and economic impact analysis. He also leads CTRI’s work in monitoring the state of the Canadian tourism sector for various government tourism departments as well as many private businesses. Greg is also a spokesperson for the Conference Board and does presentations on the tourism sector to clients and the public and is often cited in the media.

Greg joined The Conference Board of Canada in 1989 to develop various leave-behind economic impact models for the tourism sector. Although these Tourism Economic Assessment Models (TEAM) are complex, their broad usage is facilitated by the inclusion of point-and-click interfaces and user-friendly reporting packages. Greg is well known in the tourism community for his ability to develop tourism related economic models and remains active by participating in many industry working groups.
