About

Chad Leaver is the Director of Health and Human Capital at The Conference Board of Canada and lead for the Board’s Centre for Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC Canada), in partnership with valued members and key stakeholders. In this role, Chad oversees multi-stakeholder, custom and priority research initiatives. He along with the Board’s Health team produce evidence-based health research and host engaging collaboration and leadership events that bring health leaders together from coast to coast.

Past Work Experience

Prior to joining the Board, Chad was the Director of Applied Research at Seneca College where he was responsible for overseeing applied research partnerships with industry innovators and faculty experts. He was also the Director of Applied Research at Canada Health Infoway where he led a pan-Canadian research program from 2011–2019 assessing the impact of digital health and virtual care technologies on patient access to care, clinician quality of care, health system modernization and sustainability.

In his current role, Chad’s aim is to further advance CBoC’s value-based health care approaches that improve the health of populations and support the resiliency of Canada’s health systems.
