Marie-Eve Filteau has been working at IRCC since 2014 on integration and settlement issues within Francophone minority communities. She is currently Assistant Director of the Community Partnerships team within the Francophone Immigration Branch at IRCC. She ensures the advancement of certain key measures outlined in IRCC’s Action Plan for Official Languages 2023-2028 and Francophone Immigration Policy. In particular, she leads policies to strengthen the capacities of Francophone communities in terms of reception, integration and settlement, and ensures the development of the Welcoming Francophone Communities Initiative with community partners. She holds a master’s degree in political science, majoring in feminist studies, from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
