My name is Kevin Berube. I’m a proud Ojibway from Flying Post First Nations and grew up in Nipigon, Ontario. I am a Senior Advisor of Community and Indigenous Engagement with Enbridge Inc.
I’ve been with Enbridge in an engagement capacity for four years. Prior to coming to Enbridge I was the Executive Director at Teach for Canada. I moved to Toronto in 2015 from Sioux Lookout, Ontario where I served in the helping field beginning in 2004 with Tikinagan Child and Family Services, Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority and the Meno Ya Win Health Centre.
I’ve had the privilege to sit on various Boards and Advisory Councils: Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health, Teach for Canada, Youth Advisory Council Nishnawbe Aski-Nation. I’ve contributed articles as a member of the Health Advisory Team with the Globe and Mail. I currently sit on the Bell Let’s Talk mental health advisory group reviewing mental health proposals for funding.
Over the past 30 years I’ve volunteered my time in many arenas in Northern Southern Ontario as a hockey coach. Although I’m an avid golfer I can’t say I’m good, I also enjoy fishing and hunting in my spare time.
