Glory Ogor immigrated to Canada from Nigeria in 2017, applied and was accepted into the NPower Canada program, where she began her journey in September 2017. Glory thrived in the program, acquiring marketable technical skills, earning the Cisco IT Essentials and CompTIA A+ certifications, and strengthening her communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. Glory was hired as a Quality Assurance Analyst at CIBC, a role that launched her career in information technology. Glory moved on to another role, growing her professional experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Scotiabank. She has gone on to acquire multiple certifications such as Certified Product Owner, ITIL, and is currently enrolled in Ryerson university for a Data Analytics program. She spends much of her time volunteering with her church and has recently been named Chair of the NPower Canada Alumni Advisory Council, an alumni-run council providing direction and input into NPower Canada’s program design, development, and evaluation.
