Faun Rice is the Manager of Research & Evaluation at the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), a Canadian centre of expertise on workforce development for the digital economy. With ICTC, Faun has spent the past six years on topics related to expanding equitable access to STEM employment and skills, as well as technology ethics and impacts on Canadian society. Faun has published on immigration and the Canadian labour market in the Journal of International Migration and Integration, as well as ethical research and policy for the field of artificial intelligence at events such as the International Conference on Computational Creativity. Prior to her role with ICTC, Faun worked as a social scientist for organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution and the University of Toronto as a lead author on a SSHRC Knowledge Synthesis project.
