Heather McIntosh is the Director of Education and Skills at The Conference Board of Canada. In this role, Heather oversees all Future Skills Centre research for the Education and Skills team to propel this Focus Area’s long-term research agenda with the goal of addressing emerging issues, trends, and best practises. Heather, a seasoned knowledge translator and mobilizer, directs the development of innovative research products aimed at reaching relevant audiences and increasing impact.

Prior to the Board, Heather oversaw a multi-year research centre focused on workforce development and skills challenges in Ontario while working in Ryerson University’s Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation. Heather received a 2016 Research Award from the International Development Research Centre’s technology and innovation branch, where she led a project on the role of digital innovations in the crisis response to the 2015 Nepal earthquakes. Dr. McIntosh is passionate about women’s health and rights and brings a unique perspective on the intersection of education and gender.
