Doug Piquette is the Executive Director of the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council. Doug has been with ERIEC for 12 years and in that time has worked to establish, manage and advance the strategic priorities and direction of this Edmonton based organization.

Doug brings a breadth of diverse experience to ERIEC previously working for over 30 years in project design and management in the community economic development field. Doug also spent several years project managing community economic development projects in South America facilitating community processes for diverse community stakeholders groups.

Doug is a founding board member of the Edmonton Business Diversity Network (EBDN) and the current Chair of the WorkForce Development Committee with the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce.

Doug holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Victoria, a certificate in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo and a certificate in Executive Leadership from the University of Alberta. Doug works fluently in both Spanish and English.
