Dr. McIntosh is a practicing psychiatrist and Chief Neuroscience Officer with TELUS. Her training includes an undergraduate degree in pharmacy, followed by a medical degree and residencies in pediatric and adult psychiatry. In her role at TELUS she is responsible for optimizing all mental health-related products, services and innovations, leveraging TELUS’ world-leading technology to enable improved health outcomes for all Canadians.

Diane is a committed educator and innovator, with a passion for improving the quality of care and the treatment options available for people diagnosed with a mental illness. She is extensively involved in providing continuing medical education for colleagues nationally and internationally. Her book, This is Depression, was written for those who have depression, for those who love someone who is depressed, and for anyone who wants to better understand the disorder. She is also leading an innovative project to support healthcare practitioners with tools to encourage the appropriate, confident, and rational prescribing of psychiatric medications.
