
Damaris Rose
Adjunct Professor of Urban Studies, INRS
Damaris Rose (MA, Toronto; PhD, Sussex) is Adjunct Professor (retired) at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique, Centre Urbanisation Culture Société. She is an urban geographer specialized in housing and the social dynamics of neighbourhood change. She has led or been co-researcher in numerous studies on housing issues for refugees, asylum claimants and other newcomers to Canadian cities. This work has been supported by the SSHRC, CMHC and other federal and Quebec agencies. She is a member of the Executive Committee member of the Building Migrant Resilience in Cities research partnership.
