Many of the economic indicators released over the past few weeks showed a deterioration, in part because of the influence of the severe winter storms that gripped much of the country in February. Vehicle sales, consumer confidence, and labour markets were affected the most. However, some indicators, including manufacturing activity, remained in positive territory, suggesting that the economic recovery is still on track.
