The U.S. economy is set to recover from the slump in the early part of this year linked to weak export growth and the ongoing difficulties in the oil patch. After expanding at an annual pace of less than 1 per cent in the first quarter of this year, real GDP is on track to post growth in the 2.5 per cent range in the second quarter.
