Does playing the good corporate citizen help your organization? This report finds: Sometimes.
Document Highlights
This report analyzes findings of a review of recent literature from U.S. and European (primarily U.K.) sources on the relationship between the economic performance of firms and their involvement in citizenship-related activities. The report concludes that citizenship impact on the bottom line can be demonstrated in specific instances and not at all in others, but that in any case, it can be generally shown not to harm shareholder value. The report further finds that interest in citizenship is likely to grow.
