The Conference Board of Canada’s recent survey, The Leadership Outlook, focused on the key drivers of organizational leadership and examined the role of leadership in competitive organizational performance. The survey was completed by 441 human resources and business leaders. Leadership Outlook 2015 provides a summary analysis from the survey and takes a deep look into leadership behaviour, practices, and strategies in Canadian organization. The objective of the report is to provide a greater understanding of organizational leadership performance and leadership behaviour, and their impact on organizational performance. This is accomplished through the introduction of the Leadership Performance Index—a proprietary organizational assessment tool that is based primarily on the behaviours and activities of organizational leaders. The report investigates leadership development strategies and practices used by Canadian organizations at different levels of the Index.
