Document Highlights

The forecasters surveyed by the Conference Board in September were less optimistic about prospects for the Canadian economy. Respondents expect real GDP to expand by 3.5 per cent in 2003, less than the 3.9 per cent growth anticipated three months earlier. The main factor behind the slower growth expectation was a more pessimistic view of Canada’s export markets.
