Document Highlights

This report provides a frame of reference for policy makers evaluating the impact and influence of the SchoolNet GrassRoots Program. More specifically, this study shows how Grass Projects build in students the innovative/entrepreneurial skills, attitudes and behaviours that are key to ensuring Canada’s competitiveness in the global economy.

The SchoolNet GrassRoots Program clearly contributes to building the human capital that drives the knowledge economy. It is a supportive, non-invasive complement to the delivery of curriculum in the classroom and, as such, helps students acquire the skills they need to make transitions to the world of work.
