- Timmins’ economy will continue to expand moderately, with real GDP forecast to grow by 0.9 per cent in 2018 and 0.8 per cent in 2019, following an average annual advance of 0.8 per cent over the past two years.
- Following a 9.6 per cent advance in 2017, employment in Brandon is forecast to fall by 2.4 per cent this year, then rise by 0.7 per cent next year.
- Red Deer’s economy, after expanding strongly in 2017, is forecast to grow more slowly this year and next. Real GDP should rise by 2.8 per cent in 2018 and by 2.2 per cent in 2019.
- Following a 3.0 per cent advance in 2017, employment in Prince George will climb by 2.2 per cent in 2018 and a further 1.0 per cent in 2019.
