  • Two CMAs—Toronto and Winnipeg—saw expectations change to positive for both the short and long terms.
  • The CMAs with the biggest increase in housing starts in February were Kingston, Saint John, Saskatoon, Regina, and Saguenay.
  • Still, February housing starts were lower in 18 of the 27 CMAs compared with one year earlier.
