  • Markets posted mixed results in March. Sales were below February levels in 19 of our 28 jurisdictions. On a year-over-year basis, volumes trailed year-earlier levels in 22 areas.
  • Easing sales continue to discourage potential vendors. Listings fell from Febuary levels in 18 markets. The supply of listings now lags year-earlier levels in 25 jurisdictions.
  • The decline in sales was somewhat more pronounced than the drop in listings in March. As a result, the sales-to-listings ratio was lower than in February in about half (17) of our areas. Still, 25 of our 28 markets remain in a “balanced” position.
  • Price growth remains decent. On a year-over-year basis, 23 areas posted price increases in March, with only the cities of Calgary, Edmonton, London, Oshawa, and Victoria posting price decreases.
